Tash Steger

Dylan Martello

Description
Tash and Dylan are an acoustic duo act hailing from Australia and New Jersey.

Prior to their collaboration – Tash trained extensively with Australia’s leading performing arts organisation, The Australian Girls Choir, where she quickly progressed into its elitist level and two top specialist voice and dance groups. She soon found herself being invited to perform alongside Hugh Jackman in ‘The Boy From Oz’ and for him at his 40th Birthday, as a soloist at the Sydney Opera House, for the Australian Olympic Team following their return from Athens and Beijing, on Sunrise, at World Cup matches, as well as supporting stars such as John Farnham, Troy Cassidaley, and The Wiggles. Since then, Tash has toured around Australia as a lead role in a comic cabaret show, and has also written, directed, and performed her own one-woman music theatre show in California. Other performance highlights include Don’t Tell Mama in NYC, and in Australia, the Shangri-La and Luna Park, as a featured jazz band singer, at car races, on radio shows, and at various festivals. As a singer and songwriter, Tash’s work blends together jazz, folk, and indie pop styles.

Dylan Martello is musician and songwriter from New Jersey who has moved through the years working on both solo music as well as collaboration with other artists ranging from jazz, folk, country, and rock. Drawing upon influences from 1920's Jazz, 60's pop and rock ‘n’ roll groups, and folk figures such as M. Ward, Nick Drake, and Milk Carton Kids to name a few, Dylan brings to light the many folk undertones present in today's culture. Dylan's time performing throughout places such as Nashville, Chicago, and New York City has given him a unique view of the many musical subcultures of this country, and he strives to blend these styles in his performances. When Dylan is not performing or recording with fellow artists and friends, he spends time writing and recording his own music.

The two recently began performing covers of modern day folk, twisted versions of contemporary pop songs, and classic jazz numbers at intimate cabaret bars, jazz clubs and folk hangouts in the greater NYC area. Not only does their repertoire include renditions of artists such as Norah Jones, Gnarls Barkley, and Radiohead, but they also spice it up by meshing together their unique styles on each other’s original works.
