Rough Body Play: what does it mean? What does it entail? Is it safe? How do you know what's OK and what's dangerous? Where do you start? Well, if you haven't started yet - start here! Rough body play is a wide range of BDSM play that is body-on-body; no toys or tools, just close up and personal pain, sensation, and delight. In this intensive, Roughinamorato will bring together his years running of Rough Crowd (a monthly rough body play workshop in Chicago) and teaching rough body play across the country, into a single day of soup to nuts (well, maybe nuts - we'll see how it goes) of rough body play, from comprehensive safety, to basic skills, through to class-voted selections on advanced topics running a gamut from backhanding to bastinado to knees to skin torture and more. No experience is necessary; this is the perfect place to start, yet even the seasoned veterans will likely come away from this with new ideas, techniques, and diabolical plans. All genders, ages, experience levels, races, shoe sizes, sexual orientations and preferences, partnership status, poly, D/s, M/s, height, eye color, religions, pet preferences, fitness levels, tax brackets, and pizza topping choices are welcome (even all veggie pizza, if that's your thing; your pizza is not my pizza, and that's OK). Come for a full day of pervy delight, friendly faces, and cordial violence. Class from 12pm-6pm (snacks provided), doors open at 11:30am Cost: $40 per person in advance, $50 per person at the door. About the presenter: Roughinamorato is a charmingly sadistic bastard who firmly believes that kink should be fun; just because you're beating or torturing someone doesn't mean you can't both have a good laugh between the screams. He's been presenting and teaching in the vanilla world as a software geek for over 15 years, and active and presenting in the BDSM scene since 2006. He runs Rough Crowd, a monthly rough body play workshop in Chicago, and takes that knowledge on the road with the Rough Crowd Road Trip, a rough body play intensive weekend that has made appearances in Detroit, Boston, Minneapolis, Toronto, and Columbus. He has taught at events across the country including Dark Odyssey, Shibaricon, Thunder in the Mountains, The Floating World, Winter Wickedness, Rope Camp, and the Fetish Flea, and has run rough body play intensive weekends at The Center for Sex Positive Culture in Seattle and for NELA in Boston. He also runs Cigar Chicago, a monthly-ish smoker. His journey of self-discovery into kink and BDSM - things that have really always been there, deep inside for him - has led him to want to share that joy and pain with others, through classes about BDSM, kink, and sexual expression, both physically-oriented and mentally-focused.
